NetSpan Products
The NetSpan MultiRouter family offers routing with high performance, versatility, modularity, and affordability for medium-sized local-area networks (LANs) and wide-area networks (WANs). Among low-priced router vendors, NetSpan is unique in offering personality modules that allow you to upgrade units as your networking needs change. MultiRouter local-area models divide a network into workgroups, helping to eliminate bottlenecks. MultiRouters support Ethernet and LocalTalk for the workgroup and for the backbone connection between workgroups. Wide-area models join remote networks through dial-up phone lines with high-speed modems, or through high-speed synchronous serial services at speeds up to two megabits per second. All MultiRouter products support the IP and AppleTalk Phase 2 protocols and can be configured by NetSpan's user-friendly Route Manager software. The NetSpan MultiStar LT LocalTalk active hubs can join up to 48 Macintosh users, printers, and other devices in a star configuration to simplify wiring and increase data integrity.
